About The Exhibition
Open Submission - Call for work.
Celebrate your four-legged furry friends with us by sending in high quality photographs of your pet pooch, or pooches!
We are excited to introduce ‘We Love Dogs’, a chance to let anyone with a camera capture their companion and be part of a community show in our Studio Gallery Space this September.
Whether portrait style, action shots, or simple candid shots of your canine, we want this group exhibition to be a real celebration of dogs by those who love them and know them best.
This open submission is for amateurs and professionals alike, so you don’t need a body of work to get past the gate post, we are keen to showcase as broad a breadth of photographic styles as possible.
As part of the exhibition that will run – did someone say run?!? - throughout September, there will also be the opportunity to bring your dog in for a photoshoot on a podium in the gallery space! This will be free of charge, just as there is no charge to submit your image or images for consideration.
Images should first be emailed for consideration to info@belfastexposed.org with the subject line – ‘Submission for We Love Dogs’ – before noon (12pm) on Friday, August 9th.
Our panel will then let the successful submissions know by the following week (August 16th) to allow time to get them printed and delivered to Belfast Exposed, ready for hanging, by Saturday, September 1st.
‘We Love Dogs’ will open to the public as part of September’s Late Night Art on Thursday, 5th September from 6-9pm with a special event where all owners/photographers and models are welcome to attend*.
Photographs can be taken on any device and should be submitted in JPEG format, sizes for display can range from postcard to 1mx1m.
*All dogs must be kept on a leash and please only bring your dog if they are sociable among other dogs and able to behave in crowded settings.
