Here You Go

Artists:  Jordan Hutchings and Tonya McMullan, Amy Brooks, Colm Clarke, Charlotte Bosanquet,  and Aisling O'Beirn

Here You Go begun in April 2011 as an art project taking place within a mile radius of Donegall Street in Belfast.  Participants were invited to mark a place of significance on a map detailing the mile radius and writing their reasons on the reverse. 

Since then  each  of the sixty locations have been photographed as they are today, the role of the artists, Jordan Hutchings and Tonya McMullan is that of mediator finding an image that captures the place as it is today whilst following instruction form the few words left by the initial contributor.

All sixty image have been made into postcards now on display at Belfast Exposed Project space.

The next phase of Here You Go is a further exploration of place and locality, artists Amy Brooks, Colm Clarke, Charlotte Bosanquet,  and Aisling O'Beirn have made interventions or actions at a number of the locations – these photo action have been remade into a new set of postcards now in circulation throughout Belfast.

For one day on the 19th July a processional tour will visit a cluster of artwork interventions beginning at 2pm and 6pm please arrive at Belfast Exposed ten minutes before for registration.
