Community Partner: Impact Training - facilitated by Mervyn Smyth - 21 January to 11 March 2013
This 8-week project used digital photography to enable a group of young people to explore Ulster Scots heritage on the Shankill Road. The project was delivered in partnership with Impact Training and was facilitated by Belfast Exposed community artist Mervyn Smyth.
Over the 8 weeks participants developed their digital photography skills while exploring Ulster Scots heritage. The group also explored the elements needed to curate a successful exhibition. The group then created an exhibition of the images that they had taken depicting the current Ulster Scots heritage that exists on the Shankill Road, Belfast. The exhibition was launched in May 2013 and is on permanent display in The Ulster Scots Agency.
