Council for the Homeless N.I
Community Partner: Council for the Homelessness N.I - facilitated by Mervyn Smyth - 22 June to 28 July 2012
This 4-week project was undertaken in partnership with The Council for the Homelessness, Northern Ireland. The project aimed to use digital photography and storytelling to raise awareness of the issues faced by young homeless people. It was facilitated by Belfast Exposed community artist Mervyn Smyth.
Over the 4 weeks participants explored how homeless people are represented in photographs and print. The programme also looked at stereotypes and misrepresentations of homeless people by the media.
The group then used digital photography to create positive representations of homeless people, living in Belfast.
